Since our opening at Choyín Río Termal, in addition to providing experiences surrounded by nature, we have sought to connect with the community and contribute to its sustainable development. Therefore, from the beginning of our operations, we have worked hand in hand with the community, placing emphasis on education and environmental conservation, two areas we consider fundamental for our long-term future.
Over time, we have managed to create partnerships with various institutions and organizations, through which we seek to leave a lasting and positive impact on future generations. These actions are a key part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, which allows us to connect with those around us and contribute to their development. Here we share some of the most significant initiatives we have implemented.
Environmental Education: Connecting with Nature
At Choyín Río Termal, we believe that education is the foundation for a sustainable future. From the beginning, we have opened our doors to students from various local schools, giving them the opportunity to learn directly from nature. Among them, students from the San Josecito School in Cutris and the Santa Lucía School participated in educational activities about thermal baths, water conservation, and wildlife observation. These visits allow children not only to enjoy the hot springs but also to understand the importance of protecting our region’s natural resources.
The Corporate Social Responsibility program aims to create a strong environmental awareness from an early age, and we believe that the next generation has a key role to play in preserving local biodiversity. These moments are an excellent opportunity for students to connect with their natural environment in a deeper and more meaningful way.

Recognition of Educational Excellence: Promoting Local Talent
One of our proudest achievements was our participation in the second edition of the Educational Excellence Recognition Program, in collaboration with Tabacón Thermal Resort & Spa and the Ministry of Public Education (MEP). This program aims to recognize students and teachers who, through hard work and dedication, excel in their educational work, and we have seen it as a unique opportunity to contribute to promoting local education.
Through this initiative, more than 1,800 people (including students, teachers, and professors) have been positively impacted. The program included the distribution of more than 700 packages of school supplies and educational materials, in addition to awarding students who have excelled in key areas such as English, French, the environment, and, of course, academic excellence.
At Choyín, we know that supporting education means building a better future for new generations and encouraging the development of a community that is better prepared for present and future challenges. Therefore, we are deeply honored to be part of this joint effort, which strengthens the foundations for a more prosperous and educated future for all.
Solidarity and Nature Day: A Commitment to the Community
Solidarity is another of the pillars that guide our actions. This year, we had the privilege of hosting 150 people from Funcavida and the Caja’s Golden Citizens, who have battled cancer. For them, we organized a day at Choyín Río Termal, where they could enjoy nature. These acts of support fill us with satisfaction, because we know that we are not only offering a space for enjoyment, but also contributing to improving their quality of life.
These types of solidarity events allow us to get even closer to people, creating bonds of trust with the community and demonstrating that, as a company, we also have a responsibility to care for and support those most in need.

Celebrating Children: Children’s Day
Children’s Day is one of the most special days for Choyín Río Termal. Last year, we welcomed the children from the Hogarcito San Juan Bosco in La Fortuna, who enjoyed a day full of games, laughter, and educational activities. For us, children’s well-being is fundamental, and through these types of initiatives, we want them to have fun, but also learn to respect and care for their surroundings.
Children’s Day is not only an opportunity to celebrate, but also to teach the little ones the value of nature and the importance of protecting our natural resources. The smiles of these children are the best reward for all we do.
A Green and Sustainable Future
At Choyín Río Termal, we continue working with the community, always with the goal of generating a positive impact and building a sustainable future for the region. We know that our commitment to education, the environment, and the future must be constant, and therefore, we will continue promoting projects that help improve the quality of life of those around us.
